Charitable giving and community support are part of the everyday life of Waterfall Lodge. We support local causes through lodge fundraising, donations and practical help, while also contributing to wider Surrey Freemasonry initiatives that reach far beyond the lodge room.

Our approach is simple: support charities that do useful work, keep the giving local where we can, and make sure members can see the impact of what they help to raise. Some causes are long-standing lodge favourites, while others sit within the broader Surrey charitable network.

Teddies for Loving Care

Waterfall Lodge is proud to support Teddies for Loving Care Surrey as part of the wider Surrey Freemasonry effort. The TLC bears are given to children arriving in A&E, where they provide comfort, reassurance and a simple distraction at a difficult moment.

Surrey TLC reports support across 10 Surrey hospitals and around 1,100 teddy bears distributed each month. That work is delivered through volunteers, local lodge support and steady year-round fundraising.

The appeal is practical, visible and immediate: a small thing that helps children, parents and hospital staff when it matters most.

Surrey 2030 Festival

Waterfall Lodge also contributes to the Surrey 2030 Festival, Surrey's provincial appeal in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation. The festival channels lodge and member giving into wider MCF grants and match-funding, helping charities across Surrey and beyond.

Recent Surrey Festival support has included LinkAble, the Orpheus Centre Trust, Momentum Children's Charity, Crossroads Care Surrey, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, Wildlife Aid Foundation and Your Sanctuary. That wider work sits alongside the lodge's own local giving and helps extend the impact of individual donations.

Masonic Charitable Foundation

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is the main charity of Freemasonry in England and Wales. It supports Freemasons and their families in times of need, and also helps a wide range of local and national community causes through grants, match-funding and relief.

For Waterfall Lodge, that wider MCF work sits alongside local fundraising and Surrey 2030 Festival giving. Members contribute in ordinary, practical ways: lodge collections, raffle nights, charity dinners, festival giving and one-off donations when a cause needs extra support.

Whether the support is local, county-wide or part of a larger Surrey initiative, the lodge tries to keep its charitable work visible, useful and personal.
